It’s no surprise when a developer puts out a quality game that people will take notice. Cities: Skylines has caught gamers attention and within a month of release has hit a million sales, pretty impressive for the studio’s first city building simulator.

We continue to be amazed at just how players have embraced Cities: Skylines. The game is still selling at a steady pace, which is remarkable for a game that has been on sale for well over a month. Once again, we want to thank everyone that has supported and continues to support this game.  Said Fredrik Wester, CEO of Paradox Interactive

Already 33,000 mods have been created to date through the Steam Workshop, with an average of 21,000 concurrent players regularly online since launch. The demand for a quality city simulator is there and Cities: Skylines seems to be delivering. Cities: Skylines is available on PC, Mac and Linux for $29.99, with a deluxe edition available for $39.99.
