The next major expansion for Destiny is due to arrive next month, Bungie confirmed earlier today. Dubbed House of Wolves, this expansion will take players to the reef to face the fallen. House of Wolves will introduce “three new competitive multiplayer maps, a new cooperative Strike, a new competitive elimination mode in the Crucible and an all-new arena activity – The Prison of Elders.”

The last expansion for Destiny The Dark Below came out back in December, so new content for the game is overdue at this point. Surprisingly House of Wolves will be arriving on the same day as The Witcher 3; however you can’t really compare an expansion to a full game. Fans of Destiny will be eager to get their hands on some new content to play.

Edit: Bungie has confirmed House of Wolves won’t be receiving a new raid mode. “House of Wolves will not have a Raid activity. We didn’t make this decision lightly. Our team has been humbled by the reception of Raids in Destiny and we are creating a new Raid for a release later this year.” The news comes with disappointment, as raids are by far the best thing about Destiny. Hopefully whenever the new raid drops it will be worth the wait.
