Today At Sony’s E3 press conference, Square Enix announced that they are working on the full remake of Final Fantasy VII for the PlayStation 4. The announcement trailer revealed a completely remade FFVII, which looks entirely like a new game compared to its 1997 counterpart on the original PlayStation. Leading the development for the Final Fantasy VII remake will include “key members from the original project, including producer Yoshinori Kitase, director Tetsuya Nomura and scenario writer Kazushige Nojima.” via press release.

Final Fantasy VII was one of the biggest and most memorable Final Fantasy titles to release, selling 11 million copies worldwide. A remake has been talked about for quite some time now, but to see it finally be announced and in the works is unbelievable to say the least.
