Another Harvest Moon is on the way, Natsume announced Harvest Moon: Light of Hope earlier today. The farming sim will be coming to the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC. This will mark the first time a Harvest Moon title has been available on the PC and Switch platforms. The latest entry in the long going Harvest Moon series will “encompass twenty years of spirit that has made the franchise what it is today.” Light of Hope will be playable at this years E3, over at the Natsume booth.

Harvest Moon: Light of Hope will set itself apart from other Harvest Moon titles with its depth, including a robust story and clear-cut goals, we set out to create a SNES-style nostalgic game with deep and meaningful characters and events.” — said Hiro Maekawa, President & CEO of Natsume

Like in previous Harvest Moon titles, players begin Light of Hope with a “fresh start” in “new surroundings”. After getting shipwrecked after a storm, you drift ashore onto a “small harbor town”. The little town is damaged from the monsoon, and its up to you to start rebuilding the town and forming friendships. “With some hard work growing crops, tending livestock, and gathering materials for repairs, players will be able to make new friends, start a family, revive the lighthouse, and save the town!” Harvest Moon: Light of Hope sounds like a charming game; and we hope Natsume can bring back the classic gameplay, and appeal that previous Harvest Moon had.
