Overwatch’s Second Year Anniversary Has Started

Overwatch anniversary

Overwatch anniversary started this Tuesday!

Happy 2nd Overwatch anniversary! With its release on May 23, 2016, the game swept the board with multiple Game of the Year awards. With its frequent updates and strength in the eSports scene, Blizzard continues to build upon their masterpiece with character balances, new modes, and solid extras for players to unlock. Its beautiful, anime-styled character designs and culturally-diverse cast and stages are eye-catching even to fans new to Blizzard games. Moreover, the amount of variety in playstyles reflects the time, polish, and care the developers put into the game.

With the Pink Mercy event come and gone, Blizzard is now focusing on their Overwatch anniversary event. Featuring dozens of skins, new emotes, and more loot boxes, Blizzard has went above and beyond with additional content. You can also purchase 50 Lootboxes and get a bonus included. Also featured in this update is the return of previous loot boxes. You can check out the featured skins and emotes from the official Overwatch site. In addition to the returning seasonal brawls, the new Deathmatch map, Petra, launches with the update. Use this chance to acquire Loot Boxes from past seasonal events for skins you missed the first time around!

In addition, Blizzard and Hasbro recently partnered up to deliver new Overwatch Legos. Overwatch Nerf products are also set to launch later this year. The Overwatch Anniversary lasts from May 22nd to June 11th. Use the next two weeks to get as much loot as you can. In the meantime, you can check out the aforementioned map, Petra, here.
