Pink Mercy fighting for a cause.
Earlier this week, Blizzard released a new skin featuring one of the Support characters – Pink Mercy. While known as one of the game’s main healers, it’s only fitting that the game’s doctor don a new outfit revolving around the research of breast cancer. Clad in pigtails, a pink uniform, and even the trademark pink ribbon to match, Mercy’s new skin hit all digital stores. In addition to the donation fund, Blizzard Entertainment also donated $250,000 to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Check out this video from the developer detailing the cause behind the new Mercy skin and learn more of their mission here.
Despite looking like a character straight out of a magical girl anime, Mercy’s as serious at kicking butt as she is looking to find a cure for a deadly disease. According to breastcancer.org, 1 in 8 women in the U.S. will be diagnosed with breast cancer. Furthermore, if you want to learn more about the statistics, facts, and anything else regarding breast cancer, you can find them on cancercenter.com and Mayo Clinic. Join the team and stand up to breast cancer here! Mercy and Blizzard have your back and 100% of all donations go to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Finally, check out Mercy’s beautiful new pink skin!
Mercy’s skin is available on all platforms until May 21st. You can join the fight against breast cancer and download it for $14.99 here. In addition, all proceeds will go to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Furthermore, you can also purchase new gear from the Overwatch store right here.
