Originally launching back in 2012 on the Nintendo 3DS, Resident Evil Revelations has made its way onto several platforms since its debut on the 3DS. Now in 2017, Capcom is ready again to release Resident Evil Revelations onto more consoles. Arriving on August 29th, Resident Evil Revelations will be coming to both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. A Nintendo Switch version will be coming later on in the year, along with Resident Evil Revelations 2.
Players who pick up Resident Evil Revelations later this month on the PlayStation 4 or Xbox, can expect a much more polished experience compared to its earlier counterparts. The game will feature a full 1080p resolution, with “improved framerate, increased environmental detail and refined creature movement.” This will be the definitive version of the game, and by far the “best-looking” one released. All of the DLC released for Resident Evil Revelations will be found in this version, available as unlockable rewards in the game.
Set between the events of Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 5, Resident Evil Revelations takes Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine aboard the ship Queen Zenobia – among other locations. You can expect the usual Resident Evil story-telling and gameplay elements to appear in Revelations.
