The former developers behind the popular Call of Duty franchise and currently Titanfall have been busy working on a Star Wars project the last few years. Back in 2016 Respawn Entertainment revealed that they were partnering up with EA and Lucasfilm to bring a new Star Wars adventure title to gamers. Earlier today during EA’s press conference EA Play, Respawn co-founder Vince Zampella revealed the official title of their upcoming Star Wars game called Jedi: Fallen Order.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will be a “third-person action/adventure game set in the Star Wars universe.” This was confirmed before the project had an official name, but we do know that the game will take place between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope. Jedi: Fallen Order will be set during a dark period for the Jedi where they were nearly haunted to extinction, nearly destroying the ancient organization.

Not a whole lot of information about Jedi: Fallen Order was revealed today, but Vince Zampella did confirm that the game will arrive somewhere around in Holiday 2019. No platforms have currently been announced, but we’ll take a wild guess and say that we can expect the game to come to the PC, PS4, and Xbox One. We’ll update you with any additional news we come across on Jedi: Fallen Order, until then stay tuned for upcoming E3 coverage!
