Rumor: Rise of the Tomb Raider PS4 Release Window and Price Revealed

Dave Karev

Rise of the Tomb Raider is scheduled to release later this November for the Xbox One and Xbox 360. Many are wondering if and when the game will come to other platforms, more specifically when will Rise of the Tomb Raider land on the PlayStation 4. Square Enix and Microsoft haven’t given any specifics on how long the duration for the timed exclusive will be, but rumors suggest that Rise of the Tomb Raider will arrive on the PlayStation 4 in Q4 2016.

YouTube channel The Know, is reporting that Rise of the Tomb Raider will arrive sometime in the fourth quarter in 2016 on the PlayStation 4. An inside source has told them that Square Enix will be publishing Rise of the Tomb Raider at a discounted price on the PS4. The price is suggested to be $40, saving those without an Xbox One a cool $20. For now these are just rumors and nothing concrete yet, but Rise of the Tomb Raider is a Microsoft exclusive for the time being. Eventually the game will arrive on other platforms, so for those hoping to play the latest Tomb Raider adventure can wait out if they don’t feel like buying a new console.

honestly I thought PS4 would get Tomb Raider exclusivity

Microsoft paid first – and it was either gossiped or rumoured because they wanted their ‘Own Uncharted’ type of game to compete while waiting for their first party games.

Just as Sony got Street Fighter V, except, V doesn’t seem timed and is PS4/PC Exclusive apparently. We’ll see on that, Capcom is strange like that.

They have Tomb Raider, PS4 gets FF7.
