Much like the The NES Classic Edition, the Super NES Classic Edition is highly sought after. For many who weren’t able to get an NES Mini without paying a ridiculous amount for it, will probably try and get their hands on the upcoming SNES Mini. To prepare for the limited edition release, retailers will be opening up pre-orders for the system later this month. Nintendo confirmed the news themselves on their facebook page, saying “we appreciate the incredible anticipation that exists for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System.” They also confirmed “that it will be made available for pre-order” “late” in August.
The Super NES Classic Edition will come packed with 21 classic SNES games like; Super Mario World, Super Metroid, A Link to the Past, and many more hits! All of the games will come pre-installed on the mini console, and will be playable with two wired SNES controllers that are bundled with the system. That way you and a friend can play co-op or against each other in the many available games. The SNES Mini will be arriving on September 29th, for $80. If you want to secure one yourself, its probably best to get a pre-order as soon as possible.
Nintendo struggled to meet the demand with The NES Classic Edition, where scalpers made a pretty penny off the limited stock. Nintendo will provide a “significant amount of additional systems” to retailers on launch, and continue to ship more through out the rest of the year.
