Last years South Park: The Stick of Truth was a surprisingly amusing and fun experience, wrapped up in a nicely packaged game. Ubisoft has announced a follow up sequel during their E3 press conference. South Park: The Fractured but Whole is the latest South Park adventure you’ll go on, players will once again reprise the role of The New Kid joined by familiar faces Stan, Kyle, Kenny and Cartman. This time around you’ll be joining a group of crime fighters, role-playing as Superheroes.

“By successfully mixing outstanding comedy with excellent gameplay, South Park: The Stick of Truth created a game genre: the Comedy Role-Playing Game,” said Laurent Detoc, president at Ubisoft. “Our teams worked hard, laughed hard, and players loved it so we’re back to collaborate on the fantastic world created by Matt, Trey and the talented group at South Park Digital Studios with South Park: The Fractured but Whole.”

South Park: The Fractured but Whole is being developed by Ubisoft San Francisco this time around, instead of Obsidian Entertainment. Returning series creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker are “involved in every step of the development of the game.” Ubisoft said in a press release, “Ensuring another truly authentic South Park experience.” South Park: The Fractured but Whole will be arriving on the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One at an unannounced release date. We’ll keep you updated with an official release when we learn more.
