Spider-Man’s First DLC Drops this Week

Spider-Man DLC

Spider-Man DLC: The Heist

Earlier this week, Sony and Insomniac Games confirmed that the first Spider-Man DLC is on its way. Released this past summer, for PlayStation 4, Marvel’s Spider-Man quickly became one of the most successful titles in the year. As it was originally announced with three DLC packs, Insomniac Games confirmed the release date for the first incoming update.

In “The City That Never Sleeps,” the first DLC pack involves The Heist. This tale features Felicia Hardy, a.k.a. Black Cat, a cat burglar and one of Spider-Man’s ex-girlfriends. In the main game, you’re pursuing Black Cat’s heists before she leaves you high and dry, leaving only a Spidey suit behind. While story details are relatively unknown, Insomniac has also confirmed three new suits for the game as well.

Supplemental Reading Material

Interested in learning more about Black Cat? Sony posted a special article on their blog. Featuring several comics from the Spider-Man franchise, you can learn a bit more about Black Cat and Spider-Man’s history here. In addition, Sony also listed the release window for the other two chapters of the Spider-Man DLC. Once they’re released, you can check out Spider-Man: Turf Wars in November 2018 and Spider-Man: Silver Lining in December 2018.

Spider-Man: The Heist will release on Tuesday, October 23rd for PlayStation. If you haven’t already, be sure to check out Marvel’s Spider-Man. We reviewed the game on NerdBite in September. You can pick up the Digital Deluxe Edition, which contains several suits, a special theme, and also a season pass for all three DLC episodes.
