The biggest digital distributor of games is now offering full refunds on bought games and DLC, Valve announced earlier today. Anyone who bought a game through Steam has two weeks to get their full refund; given they make a request and have less than two hours played, the same policy applies to DLC as well. Refunds will be issued within a week of approval, you will receive your full refund either through “Steam Wallet funds or through the same payment method you used to make the purchase” via Steam.

You can request a refund for nearly any purchase on Steam—for any reason. Maybe your PC doesn’t meet the hardware requirements; maybe you bought a game by mistake; maybe you played the title for an hour and just didn’t like it.

It’s hard keeping track of all the countless games you bought during Steam’s famous sales, having a chance to refund some of them is an added bonus – especially with some of the early access ones. This a step in the right direction for Steam, keeping your community happy is important with all the thriving competitors these days.
