Telltale’s ongoing and probably its most popular series The Walking Dead, will finally conclude in its last season next year. Telltale made the surprise announcement during their Summer 2017 update in anticipation of Comic-Con. The Walking Dead: The Final Season is currently a working title for the fourth and final season, and will debut sometime in 2018. Not much information was revealed about The Final Season, but the story will focus once again on Clementine.
“It’s going to be an amazing experience. Thank you all so much, from the bottom of my heart,” said Melissa Hutchison, the award-winning actress who has been the voice of ‘Clementine’ since 2012. “It’s been a lot of blood, sweat, and tears, and so much love has been behind this whole experience. Good luck, I’ll be right there with you.”
The first episode of Telltale Game’s The Walking Dead premiered way back in April of 2012, since then the fan favorite franchise has sold more than 50 million episodes to date. Based on the acclaimed comic-book series by Robert Kirkman, Telltale’s The Walking Dead shares a lot of similarities with the comic-books. However; The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series features its own original story and characters – although some characters from the comic-books made an appearance in the episodic series.
There is no doubt that fans have been looking forward to another season of The Walking Dead, and hopefully Telltale Games can properly conclude the series next year with a satisfying sendoff.
