Telltale’s Game of Thrones Getting a Retail Release this November

Dave Karev

Known for its episodic release schedule, Game of Thrones: A Telltale Game Series will be making its way over for retail release. Originally available only through digital download, you can pick up Telltale’s Game of Thrones series this upcoming November 17th on the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, or Xbox One for $29.99.

The six-part episodic series for Telltale’s Game of Thrones still hasn’t concluded yet, with episode five released just last month. Telltale Games hasn’t confirmed a release date for the final episode The Ice Dragon. However it shouldn’t be too far off, with the release schedule for Game of Thrones being pretty modest so far. Compared to Telltale’s other series, Tales from the Borderlands, which started only a month before – and recently in June had its third episode released.

Game of Thrones: A Telltale Game Series is based around the world of HBO’s hit television drama series, Game of Thrones. Familiar faces make an appearance in the episodic series, with all new characters introduced to the story. However, Telltale’s twist on Game of Thrones revolves heavily around House Forrester, where you play as separate members trying to save your noble house from collapsing. Caught up in The War of the Five Kings and the political drama it brings, it’s up to you to decide House Forrester’s faith.
