The World Ends With You: Final Remix Gets a Brand New Trailer

The World Ends With You: Final Remix

Earlier today, Square-Enix unveiled their latest trailer for The World Ends With You: Final Remix. A re-release of the hit DS title, The World Ends With You came out on the Nintendo DS in 2007. Referred to as TWEWY for short, the title is produced by Tetsuya Nomura, creator of the Kingdom Hearts series. The “Final Remix” tag is even a nod to the Kingdom Hearts “Final Mix” titles, released exclusively for PS2 in Japan. It’s also a reference to the “Kingdom Hearts HD Remix” titles as well, signifying their re-release. Note that TWEWY also appeared on mobile devices as well, featuring audio and visual changes.

The World Ends With You is an Action/RPG. Featuring real-time combat, players would use the touch screen to attack enemies. Equipping badges would give you new abilities and stat points. The main character, Neku, is transported to a parallel version of Tokyo. He must “play the game” and win, in seven days, or face erasure. Befriending new characters, he will team with them in different chapters, utilizing their abilities while they try to escape with their lives.
