Beginning first as an easter egg in World at War, Treyarch’s zombie mode brought in a whole new fanbase for the popular Call of Duty series. Get ready to relive those moments, in some of the most memorable and classic maps returning in the all new Zombies Chronicles DLC for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3. Reworked to match the standards of modern consoles, Zombies Chronicles features eight remastered zombie maps from past Treyarch Call of Duty games.

Call of Duty’s Zombies has earned a special place in our hearts through its deep, layered gameplay, imaginative storylines and its compelling waves of action, which spans multiple titles. We’re excited to share with fans these incredible moments in one comprehensive offering, available together on current generation hardware.” — Rob Kostich, EVP and General Manager of Call of Duty

The returning maps in Zombies Chronicles are; Nacht der Untoten, Verruckt, Shi No Numa, Kino Der Toten, Ascension, Shangri-la, Moon, and lastly Origins. All eight maps feature updated visuals, with “enhanced lighting, revamped character models and environments, and updated AI and audio systems.” You can also use custom weapons this time around, with weaponry from Black Ops 3 that weren’t available in earlier zombie maps.

Zombies Chronicles launches first on PlayStation 4 on May 16th, for a suggested retail price of $30 USD. The DLC will require a copy of Black Ops 3 in order to play. No release date for other platforms were announced, but we’re guessing it will launch about a month later like previous DLCs for Black Ops 3 did.
