INDIE Live Expo, the biannual digital showcase connecting indie game fans worldwide, has revealed the lineup for its upcoming event, featuring more than 300 indie games. The two-day event is set to take place on May 20 and 21, 2023, and will kick off with “Day 1,” featuring brand new, never-before-seen titles and unrevealed DLC, news, and updates for known indie games.
The event will also feature the return of “INDIE Waves” segments, featuring rapid-fire presentations on games hand-picked by the INDIE Live Expo Organizing Committee. Fans can also expect an international escapade with “INDIE Studios Around the World” segment, which will shine a spotlight on international indie game scenes.
On “Day 2,” dubbed “The Aftershow,” fans can enjoy long-form “let’s play” segments with popular influencers and watch live gameplay of the latest indie games from around the world.
The event is sponsored by Cygames, Happinet, Preferred Networks, WhisperGames, and many more. With the aid of over 70 simulcasters, the previous INDIE Live Expo Winter 2022 event amassed more than 16 million views. This year’s showcase aims to continue the event’s momentum towards highlighting 2,000 indie titles since its inception in 2020.
Ryuta Konuma, the Founder of Ryu’s Office, said, “There were so many entries this year; we were honored that so many indies wanted to participate. We are constantly looking for new ways to shine a bigger, brighter spotlight on indie games, and we can’t wait for everyone to take a close look at all of this year’s entries into the show.”
